I started stand up comedy in October 2012 after completing the excellent course run by Paul Smith (now incredibly famous, but still I should add very humble) at Hot Water Comedy Club.

I was runner up for Hot Water New Comedian Of The Year  (I lost to James Oakley who reminds me of this on the anniversary of his victory), a finalist in Southport New Comedian Of The Year(where I was nearly booed off) and came third in XS Manchester’s Comedian Of The Year (or as I like to call it “the sympathy placing”).

I was regular compere at Pros & Coms Comedy Night (ave. audience 15)  in Liverpool while gigging across the North West. After brief move into storytelling I started performing musical comedy. I’ve gigged with Gary Delaney and Tom State, neither would remember me and I was too shy to talk to them, but hey, something to tell the kids I don’t have. I am now based in Chester and following extensive research and discussion think I am probably “Chester’s 4th or 5th best comedian currently residing inside the ringroad”.

Then I discovered that while the musical comedy was reasonably successful it was spiritually and emotionally unrewarding so, as a result, I’m back at square one, with no real material, no direction or defined style and yeah… At the start of the road again.
