Following the release of hit single Tropical and numerous sold out shows during 2019 (supporting acts such as Declan McKenna and Glass Caves), Luna Blue are focused on exciting new projects for 2020, including their debut Look At Me headline tour in April, playing major towns and cities in the southern UK and culminating with a headline gig at Brighton's major Komedia venue. With a second leg lined up for late summer (targeting cities further north) the band have written three big, bold and catchy new singles for release in 2020.
Released in February, the first of the new tracks - Look At Me - exemplifies Luna Blue’s sparkling, hooky and energetic signature sound. Produced by Award-nominated Matthew Parisi, the song showcases Luna Blue’s ability to craft unique and infectious indie rock anthems. Explaining lyrics such as ‘that look’s speaking out wordlessly … ‘ vocalist Tom said:
‘Look At Me is the depiction of someone being drawn into an all-consuming fantasy world, where something as innocent and charming as the way her eyes look at you can lead from daydreaming into dangerous reality …’
The four members of Luna Blue - Tom, Ryan, Nick and Seb - are delighted to be bringing their energetic performance to festival stages throughout the UK this summer.
Melita Dennett (BBC Introducing) said: “Luna Blue played a powerful BBC Introducing Live Lounge session for us. We picked them for their strong songwriting, hooky melodies and atmospheric arrangements.”
