FAQs

Should you not find the answer to your question below, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help.

How does the e ticketing system work?

All our tickets are now sold online, just click onto the buy tickets page.  You can go online buy, download and print off your eticketsand store them in a safe place for 2012

Make sure you have saved your email you used for booking the tickets in case of problems and you must bring all your A4 etickets with you on the day that you have purchased them for.

On your arrival each A4 eticket has a barcode on which we will scan and your details will appear on our computer with what you have purchased. You will then be given your allocated carparking, camping/caravan pass and your chosen wristband for the day/weekend

NOTE You will need to bring proof of identity with you, your driving licence or something with your address on when we scan the ticket so we can match your purchase. Once the ticket has been scanned it will not scan again and will show up on the screen as already allocated so this is important.

Your wristband must be shown at all times and will be checked. Any broken wristbands will be taken off the person and the person WILL have the choice to buy another wristband or removed from the site.  All those without wristbands will be removed from the site.

When will the tickets be sent out?

Tickets will be emailed and can be downloaded from 1st July 2012 in advance of the festival.

Can my tickets be refunded if I am unable to attend on the day?

Tickets are non-refundable, non-returnable, and non-transferable.

Do we still need to order a ticket for our under 5's even though they're free of charge?

Under 5's can come free, but the number of under 5's are limited. So you must 'purchase' the free tickets when you order adult tickets, and the under 5's will only be allowed entry on production of a valid ticket and (if requested) proof of age.

Will we be able to purchase tickets on the gate?

That depends if there are any tickets available. If there are, they will be sold on the gate, but the gate price will be higher than the advance price. Advance ticket sales are possible right up until the day before the festival, with purchases made later than 5 working days prior to the festival being available for collection on the gate.

What do I get if I buy VIP tickets?

VIP tickets come with a great package of special facilities to make your weekend at Tribfest an event to remember. For full details of VIP facilities visit the VIP page.

Can I bring my own food and drink?

Yes, food and drink can be brought into the camping areas but no food and drink can be taken into the main arena. The food and drink on offer from the festival's traders inside the main arena is diverse and of the highest quality. There should be something on offer for everyone, and you haven't fully experienced the festival without trying some of the cuisine on offer.  Each person will be searched when entering the main arena, anyone trying to smuggle food or alcohol/drink into the main arena will be asked to take it back to their tent/camper or leave it at their own risk at a designated area ouside the arena. Anyone breaking these rules could lose their wristband and be removed from the festival

Will there be signposts from the station and main roads?

Yes, there will be signs from main roads and from nearby towns. More detailed travel information will be added to the website shortly.

Will I be able to re-enter the site if I leave during the day?

We hope you won't want to, and we try to ensure you won't need to. But if you do leave the site, you will need to see the stewards on the exit gate to ensure you will be able to get back in. All wristbands must be shown at all times.

Will there be any covered areas if it rains?

There are a number of covered areas - the bars and music marquees and VIP areas. For a small fee we will also be providing waterproof ponchos in case the weather takes a turn for the worst!

Will there be seating?

The festival is all standing, and it is not possible to book seats, or to bring furniture (other than small collapsible chairs) into the arena.

Can we take our own chairs?

Tribfest isn't a 'picnic show', and people tend to stand to watch the acts on the mainstage. We therefore don't allow people to bring furniture (other than small collapsible furniture) into the main arena - as it would be a saftey problem, and you wouldn't be able to see much anyway! Of course the various bars and catering areas have some seating available, and you're welcome to bring rugs or shooting-sticks, so you needn't be on your feet all day.

Is there a central meeting point?

There is an information point at the festival which you can use as a meeting point. You can also leave messages there for other festival-goers.

Can I bring my own alcohol into the main arena?

You will not be able to leave the main arena with your alcohol or bring alcohol into the main arena.

Anyone wishing to leave the main arena with a drink will have to leave their glass within the main arena at their own risk and collect it when returning, Bins and tables will be provided within the arena and outside the arena to leave your drinks.

It is a condition of entry on our licence that you allow yourself and your belongings to be searched by the Police or Security. They will carry out random searches when you are entering the festival campsite and arena.

You don't have to be 18 to attend Tribfest but you must be 18 or over to purchase and consume alcoholic drinks.

Tribfest operates the "Challenge 21" policy. If you look under 21 please do not be offended if we ask you for proof of age when you buy alcohol.

Do not buy alcohol for a person under the age of 18 if you do you risk being ejected from the festival.

Will there be wheelchair access/disabled facilities?

We try to make the festival as accesible as possible to those with special needs. Those with Disabled Car Stickers will be able to park in a special area near the arena - but please note it is still some way (across grass) to the main arena, as dictated by the site. There are disabled toilet facilities in the arena and campsite. If you have particular needs, get in touch with us in advance. We'll do our best to help.

Can you camp for just one night?
